Hospital Visits

FOCUS volunteers and staff visit children who are hospitalized at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and Egleston.

FOCUS Hospital Visits is one of the ways we offer parent support. FOCUS volunteers and staff visit children who are hospitalized at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite and Egleston, bringing small treats for the parents and child.  Parents must call 770-234-9111  or complete the hospital volunteer form to let FOCUS know that their child is hospitalized – or give permission to a friend to call for them.  You are not alone – let FOCUS support you with ‘hope and chocolate!”

Eligibility
  • Have physical and/or developmental disabilities, including rare genetic syndromes, cerebral palsy, autism, and Down syndrome.
  • Be between ages 0 to 29 years old.

What makes FOCUS Hospital Visits unique
  • FOCUS provides the extra hand, listening ear, and friendly face when you need it most. If your FOCUS child is in the hospital we can stop by for a visit to provide support, bring by goodies approved by the hospital, and simply let you know that you are not alone. Hospital visits allow for long or short visits based on families preferences – and can be as uniquely catered as needed.
