The Family Portal is the tool for FOCUS families to sign up for programs and view any upcoming events for which they have registered. Through your Family Portal account you are able to register for programs, pay for programs, view any upcoming programs that they have registered for, and view account information that FOCUS has on file.
All FOCUS families are able to access the Family Portal to view their account. Families who have not yet filled out a Family Intake will not be able to access information through the Family Portal. Families can fill out a Family Intake HERE.
If you have not yet created a Family Portal account, there are a couple of different options. Once you confirm that you have access to the email address you will be logged into your Family Portal. Otherwise, please select the "Register with Email" option and input your main FOCUS Username (Your FULL Email Address with .focus at the end). After you have confirmed your email and password you should be able to log-in to your account.
Going forward, almost all FOCUS programs will have their registration done through the Family Portal and families will not be able to register without a Family Portal account. Using the Family Portal to register for programs also gives you the ability to update your family data directly and allows for pre-fill of long applications, cutting down on time spent filling out forms. You will continue to receive communication from FOCUS without an account but will be unable to register for programs.
Occasionally there will be a program listed for which we have not yet started registration but we want families to know what day and time the program will be held. We will do our best to also list the start date for registration in these cases. You may also see a program whose registration end date has passed but the program has yet to happen. If this is the case, and you are interested in registering, you will need to reach out to see if registration is still a possibility.
If you are completing a registration for an individual and the process does not show a confirmation message after you try to submit, please check to see that you have not already registered this individual. If you have, you will see the program listed under the "Upcoming Events" section. If you are trying to register a second individual for a Parent Activity (workshop, share group, etc.), the system may not allow the second registration. Yes, you can pay for programs through the Family Portal. If you did not complete your payment during the initial registration process and there is a balance due for your account you should see it in two different places. Underneath your Upcoming Events, if there is a balance due for an upcoming program, you should see a "Pay Now" link that will take you to a payment page. You can pay the full amount here or make a partial payment. You will also see a Total Amount Due section on the left side of the main Family Portal page. This number is the tally of all outstanding balances you have due for FOCUS programs. Families can pay for programs through the Family Portal until the start date of the program.
If you find incorrect information on your Family Portal account (mailing address, missing members of your household, etc.) please send us an email at [email protected] so that we can make those corrections.
There are a couple of issues that might cause an error when attempting to register/log-in to your Family Portal account for the first time.
- First, please make sure that you are a registered FOCUS family. If you are not in our database you will not be able to access information through the Family Portal. If you do not receive weekly email updates from FOCUS then you may not be in our system (you can be added to the system by completing the Family Intake form).
- Second, if you are a registered FOCUS family and you receive an error logging in for the first time, please make sure that you are registering with your main FOCUS email. This is the email address that receives our weekly emails and other announcements. If you use a different email address the Family Portal will not be able to show you any information.
- If you have forgotten your password there is a "Lost your password?" button on the main log-in page. Follow the instructions given to reset your password.
