Katie Beckett Deeming Waiver permits the state to ignore family income for certain disabled children to provide Medicaid. It provides benefits to certain children 18 years of age or less who qualify as disabled individuals.

GAPP (Georgia Pediatric Program) The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) offers the opportunity of at-home nursing care and personal care to medically fragile children. Health Force of Georgia is a state-of-Georgia provider of professional, skilled nursing care to children in the comfort and safety of home.

HIPP (Health Insurance Premium Payment) If your child has Medicaid, then you can apply to the state for reimbursement of the cost of your health insurance.

NOW/COMP (New Options Waiver)/(Comprehensive Supports Waiver Program) offer home and community-based services for people with a developmental or intellectual disability.

Family Support Waiver a non-entitlement program that brokers disability-specific services based on the unique needs of individuals and their families. We provide our services with the belief that families belong together and individuals are best served in a community setting. Our ultimate goal is to maintain a cohesive family unit while helping individuals live at home in the community. These supports meet everyday needs that are often critical in avoiding family crises.  Includes Respite, Therapy, Summer Camp, Activities & Special Equipment.

Independent Care Waiver Program (ICWP) The ICWP offers services to a limited number of adults who apply between the ages of 21 and 64.  Eligibility for ICWP is based on either a nursing facility or hospital level of care for adults with severe physical disabilities or traumatic brain injury (TBI). Available services include personal support, home health services, specialized medical equipment and supplies, counseling, emergency response systems, and home modifications.

Georgia Medicaid Long Term Care Programs, Benefits & Eligibility Requirements This article focuses on Georgia Medicaid Long Term Care, which is different from regular Medicaid. Medicaid will help pay for long-term care for Georgia residents in a nursing home, in their home and in other residential settings through one of three programs – Nursing Home / Institutional Medicaid, Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) Waivers or Aged Blind and Disabled (ABD) Medicaid.
