Bennett’s Place Serving Gwinnett County Individuals with Special Needs for respite.

Connectability, Inc. Sidekicks is a respite care program designed for children and adults with special needs and their siblings. These fun, inclusive, community-based events are held each month and are FREE to everyone. Guests of all ages and abilities enjoy snacks, activities, and special visitors. Our experienced staff and lead volunteers oversee all events. Sidekicks allows people of all-abilities to enjoy an night of fun and community.

Easterseals  is proud to offer respite services that allow both caregivers and the people for whom they’re caring the opportunity to relax, recharge, and reconnect. Our respite services are offered nationwide and designed to give caregivers a much needed break from the stress of caregiving.  Respite programs include activities like support groups and retreats for caregivers, and sleep away camps and overnight stays for the person receiving care.

FOCUS Extra Special Saturday Respite (ESS) in several locations around metro Atlanta.   A nurse is at each location to manage G-tube feedings, seizures, and other medical care. Caregivers at each location are knowledgeable and experienced in caring for children with special needs. Ratio of caregiver to child is 1:4, but community volunteers are often on hand to help and play.  ESS is free to parents, although small donations are accepted.

Hope House Children’s Respite Center. Provides onsite respite care for medically fragile children and a Saturday “We-Care” program for non-medically fragile children.  Located in Union City.

Loving Care Family Services We’ll be there for your family when you need us to be!  7 Days a week, 24 hours a day.

InCommunity Provides respite child care, adult care, and community support.

ResCare Home Care (All Ways Caring Home Care) Provides newborn and older adult care. Located in Atlanta

Shine Ministries is  respite care designed for children who have special needs and their siblings, ages 3 – 12.

Southwest Christian Care Caring for a special needs child can stretch a family to its limits. The needs of a child with disabilities often become the central focus of attention, overwhelming and isolating other family members. The Children’s Programs of Southwest Christian Care help these families by providing education and respite services.

Special Needs Cobb only facilities-based weekend respite house dedicated to special needs children and adults. Participants are welcome for a weekend of fun activities, social interaction and the opportunity to establish their own friendships separate from their families.

Special Needs Respite bridge the existing funding gap that many parents have when trying to get childcare for their special needs child. We can provide funds that will pay qualified caregivers to care for these children when no other way to pay is available to the parents.

Stone Soup has regularly scheduled respite on Friday Night for children and young adults with special needs and their siblings.  Located in Monroe, Georgia.

The Iris School (Atlanta) Providing services to neurodivergent children and their families

United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Atlanta provides periodic in-home support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who live with family or other loved ones. Trained staff members help families by providing periodic hands-on assistance with activities of daily living and community engagement. Services and schedules are designed to meet each family’s specific needs.

We Rock Care We offer two levels of We Rock Care services: Respite & Break Time Care and One-to-One Attendant Care. Our Respite & Break Time Care is designed to provide a break for families with children with special needs. We understand how difficult it is to balance the needs of siblings, spouses, or yourself, so this service is designed with you in mind. Children without a special needs diagnosis may also use this service. For children who require constant care and who have behavioral or safety concerns, we’ve created a more intensive level of support with our One-to-One Attendant Care. Be sure to check with your local state-funded program to see if you qualify for services.  Located in Roswell.
