The FOCUS Business Partnership program offers businesses the opportunity to engage in various ways to make a noticeable impact.

Business Partner Registration

At FOCUS, our mission is to embrace and equip families of children with disabilities to make everyday life BETTER. FOCUS serves over 5,000 families. Children participating in FOCUS activities range in age from birth through 29 years old and have lifelong developmental and/or physical disabilities. Some common diagnoses include but are not limited to cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, spina bifida, degenerative illnesses, and rare genetic syndromes.

Partnering with FOCUS will give your company the opportunity to make an incredible impact in the lives of over 18,000 individuals throughout Georgia.

Camp Prep - Help FOCUS staff sort, pack, assemble, and more to prepare for various camps throughout the year.

There is a lot of advanced planning that goes into preparing for each camp. The camp prep opportunity occurs at the FOCUS office and is a great volunteer project for larger groups of employees to participate.

Volunteer Opportunity

Prepare activities and craft items
Sort and pack basic necessities for camp
Assemble packets

Volunteer Capacity - 5- 20 volunteers per session

Family Camp: Families enjoy activities made for the whole family at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, GA from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning.

Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteers can help do any of the following …

Create welcome bags
Carry luggage from cars to cabins on Friday afternoon (approx. 2 hours)
Teach an arts & crafts workshop on Saturday (approx. 5 hours)
Carry luggage from cabins to cars on Sunday morning (approx. 2 hours)

Camp Hollywood: Summer day camp program for campers with multiple disabilities.

Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteers help with the camper Friday performance (3 hours on a Friday afternoon) which includes the following tasks

Set up the room in preparation for the performance
Greet parents and pass out parent evaluation forms
Enjoy the performance!!!
Put the room back in order after the performance

Holiday Help: Eligible families, who would not have gifts otherwise, receive gifts during the holiday season.

Hospital Visits: Families in the Technology-Dependent Intensive Care Unit at Scottish Rite (TICU) receive dinner, gifts, and more.

Volunteer Opportunity

Provide a monthly dinner for families. (There are 11 beds in the TICU, so it would be 11 families).
Stock the snack cart. Bring snacks for the to replenish the snack cart.
Fill a bag with care items for the parents. This is a great co-branding opportunity*!
- *Fill a minimum of 100 bags with care items for parents and the bags can have both the FOCUS and your company logo on it.
