Internships at FOCUS
FOCUS is a nonprofit in Atlanta that serves children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, rare genetic disorders, and autism. In the summer, FOCUS operates 6 weeks of day camp for children ages 5-29, a one-week overnight camp for teens and young adults, and a weekend family camp. Throughout the year FOCUS offers respite, hospital visits, adapted swim team, and family events for our FOCUS families. Interns receive guidance from their supervisor during their time to ensure a successful experience.

FOCUS offers competitive internships throughout the year to college students whose education and career choices align with the FOCUS mission. We are always looking for passionate, dedicated, and creative individuals to become part of our FOCUS family. Interns assist with program planning and implementation, summer camp planning, work as counselors and activity leaders in the camps, attend and work at various FOCUS events, and develop plans for upcoming events, and much more!
