FAST Fins does not offer swim lessons – participants must be able to swim and be safe in the water without flotation. FAST Fins is a swim team, not swim lessons. Not only do swimmers need to be able to swim, they need to WANT to swim. We understand that playing and splashing in the water is fun, but FAST Fins is a time set aside for swimming laps and working on technique to attain better skills and confidence in the water.
Our fall season will begin the weekend of September 6th and run through November 2nd! Registration for the fall will open in early August.

Eligibility
- FOCUS Kid must be ages 5-29 years old at the start of the Swim Season.
- Can swim in deep water without flotation or adult assistance
- Able (and willing) to swim at least 25 yards (the length of the pool) without any assistance
- Swim strokes do not need to be developed, but they must be able to swim on top of the water in a safe manner
- Able to follow directions of safety and take instruction in a group setting
- Be cooperative and follow directions in a group

- The FOCUS Adaptive Swim Team (FAST Fins) is the only recreational swim league of its kind in the metro Atlanta area, specifically designed for children with developmental and physical disabilities at various levels of proficiency.
- FAST Fins is not a competitive team – we are inclusive, and provide a safe space for swimmers of all abilities to thrive, have fun and make friends while developing skills in the pool.

Other Info
- While fees are charged for FAST Fins, partial scholarships are available. Partial scholarships are awarded based on financial need.
- 3rd Party Waivers Accepted (InCommunity, Bobby Dodd, Acumen).
- All swimmers will be evaluated each season for their ability to take instruction in a group, to function with a 1 coach:4 swimmers ratio, and to NOT require 1:1 assistance for behavior or cooperation. (SOME FAST Fins locations might have more support with volunteers – but we ask that swimmers participate without 1:1 support)
- Parents MUST remain onsite during practice.
- FAST Fins swimmers compete in an intra-squad meet at the end of each season.
- Spring Swim Season will run February 9th through April 13th – with some weekends off due to holidays and Spring Break.
- Fall Swim Season will run from September 8th through October 29th.
- Registration notifications are emailed out to all active FOCUS families in the Monday Parent email. If you think that you are an active FOCUS Family but you do not receive emails from us, please let us know.

Coaching Opportunities: Swim Team coaches work with swimmers aged 5-29 to improve technique, learn new skills, and have fun! Coaches must be 14 and older and have swim/coaching experience.
