Parent Workshop: Grief and the Medically Fragile Child

May 8 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Many people/parents are of the understanding that grief occurs when a child dies. Yet, grief for medically complex children occurs at a diagnosis, when watching children of similar ages progress thru life uninhibited by disease, and alongside the isolation/pressures of 24/7 care demands.
Join us to discuss how grief impacts family members of all ages in the life of medically fragile children. We will discuss avenues to manage grief for caregivers and siblings from the daily stressors of grief now and with disease progression.

Parent Workshops are held through Zoom.  Participants will stay muted until Q&A at the end of the presentation.  These Workshops are educational workshops for parents of children with disabilities.  Recordings will be available on our “Recorded Workshops: page within the week.
