FOCUS welcomes you to our 36th Annual Education Conference! We are excited to host families, presenters, and exhibitors for an opportunity to explore and connect.

We host an Annual Education Conference every January. It is an opportunity for parents to learn about various topics specific to their journey as parents of children with disabilities. Parents enjoy lunch, connecting with others and meeting local exhibitors.

Nadler Biernath, LLC | full- service estate planning firm, and we’re happy to be able to offer comprehensive special needs planning services, including wills, powers of attorney, and special needs trusts, as well as consultation on ABLE accounts and guardianship/conservatorship.

Del Mar Healthcare | provides private in-home care services. Our services include companion sitting, personal care assistance and nursing services.  Additionally, we provide private in-home care services to children under the age of 21 who may have developmental and/or physical disabilities through the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) with no out of pocket cost to the family.

The Ellis Center | Our School: Our goal is to provide an instructional program personalized for each student, as well as one-on-one support - believing unconditionally in each student's potential through a child-led curriculum. Camp ImpAACt: Our specifically created curriculum allows campers to grow self-confidence, communicate more effectively, learn from peers, and ultimately have fun! Community Education Events: We offer workshops, make and take classes, and private consultations that benefit educators, parents, caregivers, therapists, and others in our community. Evaluation Services: We can assist families with having their child complete a variety of assessments to determine their functional, academic, and daily living skills.

G3 Robotics at Midtown High School | (Team 1648), a student-led robotics team at Midtown High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Through cross-discipline teamwork and outreach, we nurture agile thinkers who connect our community with inspiring and accessible STEM opportunities.

Harrison and Held, LLP | Special Needs Planning, Guardianship, Divorce Consultation for Special Needs Families.

Skye Precious Kids | mission is to provide resources to families in financial crisis who are caring for children facing life threatening illnesses and disabilities to support a healthy and safe home environment, full access to medical care and equipment, as well as educational support. Here are our three programs:  Precious Families -Short term financial support for rent, utilities, food, gas and other necessities during times of unemployment due to caring for children or due to transition between jobs; renovations to homes for handicapped accessibility with items such as stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, ramping, bathroom accessibility renovations.  Precious Health- Medical costs including co-pays, deductibles, medications, durable medical equipment and supplies, diapers, treatment and therapies as well as skilled nursing and respite care. Aid with bridging the gap between what Medicaid and private insurance provides and what sick and disabled children truly need but their parents cannot afford  Precious Minds- Support to continue meaningful education while homebound including tutors, homework assistance, computers and assistive technology, scholarships for special and online courses.

The Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta | Education, resources and advocacy for families of children with down syndrome and self-advocates.

Children's Medical Services | a Georgia Department of Public Health Program that provides care coordination/resources to eligible children with special healthcare needs ages 0-20 years old. Some of the services CMS provides includes assistance with medication, medical supplies and equipment as well as diagnostic testing.

The Taylor Advantage | We are real estate agents focusing on special needs families provide a supportive and compassionate approach to finding the ideal home for those with unique requirements. We understand the countless obstacles families face when dealing with developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities. We take great care in assessing each family's individual situation and needs, helping them navigate limited options for their unique circumstances. We strive to provide resources and support for families, helping find the best home for their situation and budget. Parent to Parent of Georgia | We support Georgia families and individuals impacted by disabilities or special health care needs. We cover the entire state of Ga. JH Healthcare Staffing Agency LLC | Our company provide private in home care services to medically fragile children under the age of 21. We also provide employment opportunities to Certified Nurse Aids, Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses.

Spectrum Autism Support Group, Inc. | support groups, day camps, overnight camps, social skills groups, respite, family events and community education and training for individuals and families impacted by autism. Support, education and resources for all age and ability.

PRC-Saltillo | PRC-Saltillo is an industry leader offering AAC solutions including speech-generating devices, apps, and language systems for individuals with complex communication disorders.

Axess Health Solutions | Adult and pediatric in-home care service. Approved GAPP Provider.

Rise and Restore Home Healthcare | We are a boutique in-home care company, providing personalized placement nursing services to medically fragile children under the age of 21. Children receive care at no cost to the family, under the Medicaid GAPP (Georgia Pediatric Program) Waiver. Our services include skilled nursing, daily living assistance, and safety/companion care.

ESP | create transformative experiences for people with disabilities and their families, changing communities for the better. We fulfill this mission in the following three ways: 360, wrap around programming and family support; Java Joy, an employment program for adults with disabilities; and Hoorary summer camps.

The Rubin Center |  is a small, intimate private practice for infants, children, teens, and adults with developmental concerns, conditions, or disabilities. Atlanta’s holistic autism specialist that demystifies the confusion about the autism spectrum and ultimately empowers families and their children to lead successful lives.

Lekotek of Georgia | The Power of Play - The Power of Lekotek Using adapted toys, educational materials, computer equipment and iPads, Lekotek provides opportunities for kids to have fun and learn along the way. Lekotek serves children with a wide range of disabilities including, but not limited to, attention deficit disorders, speech delays, cognitive delays, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, hearing and/or vision loss, mitochondrial disorder, other neuromuscular disorders, and spina bifida. We primarily serve children from birth to 8 years of age. Lekotek is a safe haven from medical appointments and therapies. It is a place where there are no expectations to perform, a place where parents find resources and support.

Annandale Village | a non-profit organization located in Suwanee, Georgia that provides residential and non-residential programs and services to adults 18 years and older who have a primary diagnosis of a developmental or intellectual disability or an acquired brain injury.

Center for Leadership in Disability | (CLD) has been a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities in the Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development and the School of Public Health at Georgia State since 2008. CLD translates research into sustainable community practices that contribute to independent, self-determined, inclusive and productive lives for people with disabilities and their families.
